Chef Dennis Leary recently completed a remodel of his Tender Nob gem Canteen (817 Sutter St.). Regulars will notice new floor-to-ceiling plywood-wrapped walls, retro-feeling red-and-metal dinner tables, and a maroon counter top in lieu of the old green one. Leary wanted something "more intimate and cozy" to take him into the restaurant's next phase of life. [Tablehopper]
