Penthouse SF to Open with Jenna Jameson

One of Broadway's "nicer" strip clubs, Showgirls has been quietly undergoing a multimillion-dollar renovation for the past month or so, making way for the first West Coast branch of Penthouse Club and Steakhouse. Today, the cat is out of the bag, and Broadway's forthcoming game-changer is ready to release some more details about its planned multiple stages and bars. Designed by nightclub experts Entaleis Design, the build-out will feature video-embedded cocktail tables, LED light curtains, a refrigerated drink cooling rail on the bar, "a daring, cantilevered peek-a-boo stage made of glass" and some other futuristic details you can read about on the press release.

This should be a step up from the usual red velvet curtains, and apparently, executive chef Juan Marinez will also be able to cook you a mean steak here as well. Look out for a grand opening party to happen on a TBA date in March. Naturally, the most over-the-top topless joint will be feted with the proper naked fanfare, and insiders have leaked to Eater that the world's most well-known (and well-liked?) former porn star, Jenna Jameson, will be there. [Update: Penthouse PR has retracted their original statement, saying Miss Jameson’s appearance at the Grand Opening is not confirmed at this time. Stay tuned.]
