SoMa Streat Food Park Breaks Ground

New, 1 comment

FOOD TRUCKS - The next generation of San Francisco food trucks might be something like this SoMa Streat Food Park which will break ground tomorrow at 11th and Division. As opposed to the transient, roaming Off the Grid, this "pod" would be permanent with space for nine different rotating trucks and shelter, lighting and restrooms for some 200 diners. [SFoodie]

THE MISSION - Treat Street's one-and-only brewery and restaurant, Southern Pacific Brewing Company is all so very close to happening, on Friday. Think room for 300, house-brewed beers on tap and a lengthy bill of fare with everything from crispy Brussels sprouts to lasagna. [ISSF]

LOWER NOB HILL - There is a tempura sushi roll served in a "flame-engulfed, aluminum foil boat" at Bush Street's newest sushi joint, Sushi Ninja (900 Bush St.). Other terrifying menu items include blowtorched Waygu nigiri and Japanese pizza. If you go to this place, tell us about it. [Thrillist]

BBQ WIRE - The East Bay Express' Jesse Hirsch perseveres and gets a taste of the ever elusive Double D BBQ: "Burnt edges and generous smoke rings crowned strings of unctuously fatty meat, a perfect balance of chewy and crisp...hands-down the best barbecue I’ve had on the West Coast." [EBX]

NORTH BEACH - Coi will reopen on Jan. 31st after a week-long winter break. [Twitter]
