Sofa%20Speakeasy.jpgThrillist brings word today of a new speakeasy bar that actually looks like a speakeasy, invitingly dubbed Sofa. It's in the basement of Brazilian restaurant Bossa Nova (139 Eighth St.), which housed a Prohibition-era underground watering hole back in the day. The owners have kept it real with the remodel, bringing in lots of leather seating, candle-light and dusting off the original exposed brick walls. Booze follows suit with cocktails available by the pitcher, and if you need to eat, you can order food from the restaurant upstairs. Here is the swanky looking website for your afternoon perusal. Do let us know what you think, should you go. [Thrillist]
