A16 Heads to Oakland, Dolce Amore Debuts

EAST BAY — On the same day that the SPQR cookbook is released, news spreads of a second location for its sister restaurant, A16, opening in Oakland's Rockridge area at the beginning of next year. Chef Rocky Maselli will cook at the helm, and the plan is to move into Hudson (5356 College Ave.). [ISSF]

PACIFIC HEIGHTS — Miniature art cafe Dolce Amore (1477 Van Ness) is now open to sell itty bitty notions and sweets like Norman Love truffles inside San Francisco Towers. A grand opening is scheduled for October 20. [Tablehopper]

COMING ATTRACTIONS — Up in Larkspur, the Tavern at Lark Creek (234 Magnolia) hosts a wine dinner with pioneering female winemaker Merry Edwards on October 17.
