Michelin Guide 2013 Unleashed: Atelier Crenn Gets 2

New, 34 comments

Tomorrow, tire purveyor and arbiter of taste, Michelin releases the results for its 2013 Michelin Guide to restaurants. Today Eater gets a heads up on the recipients of the guide's precious stars. This year, there wasn't an awful lot of upward movement: only one restaurant, Atelier Crenn, jumped the gap from one star to two, and the rest of the two-star list stayed put, with the exception of the soon-to-be-no-more Cyrus. Three-star stalwarts French Laundry and The Restaurant at Meadowood continue to keep each other company at the top.

We now know why SPQR was left off of the Bib Gourmand list, announced last week: it's earned a star, joined by two more newcomers Keiko à Nob Hill and All Spice, San Mateo's high-end Indian spot.

Restaurants that lost their star, besides the now-defunct Ubuntu, are Applewood, Dio Deka, étoile (despite Perry Hoffman winning F&W's Best New Chef CA), Fleur de Lys, One Market (despite Mark Dommen being voted SF's Hottest Chef), and Santé.

Without further ado, the complete list:
