THE MISSION — Craftsman and Wolves (746 Valencia), which has been open for four months now, is introducing a formal tea service option weekdays from 1 to 5 p.m., beginning on October 15. $22 buys a pot of Naivetea oolang or tisane, accompanied by three courses of housemade savory and sweet offerings, including salt cod rillettes, apple gruyère scones, and caramelized hazelnut financiers. EAST BAY — Hopscotch (1915 San Pablo) offers beer and scotch pairings — called Hops & Scotch, get it? — for $10. Choices include Drake's IPA with Caol Ila, Asahi Kuronama with Suntory Yamazaki, and Coedo Beniaka with Templeton Prohibition Rye. Don't forget to eat. [EaterWire]

COMING ATTRACTIONS — The free Moderno Italian Festival takes place from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday night at Hot Italian (5959 Shellmound). Take in an Italian light design installation and sample Italian wines and bites (Fra'Mani salumi, Baci chocolate, Galbani cheese, Peroni beer). There will be Fiat test drives and a bike-in movie (Gianni e le Donne, or the Salt of Life) in the surrounding Public Market Emeryville at 9 p.m. [EaterWire]

FOODLANTHROPY — SF newcomer Sift Cupcake and Dessert Bar (2411 California) marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month by donating half of the proceeds from its "Pinking of You" cupcakes (white cake with pink vanilla buttercream) to the Susan G. Komen Foundation in October. The company loves pink in general; its pink champagne variety is a Food Network Cupcake Wars winner. [EaterWire]

BEERWIRE — Almanac Brewing Co has taken over the tap at Toronado (547 Haight) tonight (October 3). There are also beer donuts by Dynamo. [EaterWire]
