Inside SliderBar, A New Slice Of Americana On Market

Have a look around inside SliderBar, the new mini-burger business ready to let her rip tomorrow in the space that housed Criolla for just under one year. For comparison's sake you can have a look at the previous interior design, here. To make SliderBar, Zack de Vito Architects darkened things up a bit, removed the Criolla mural inside, and converted the counter space into a bar yielding 16 kegs full of beer. A bunch of huge TVs and an even huger retro tractor poster have also been added, while the great bones: exposed brick walls and hardwood floors have remained intact.
Ashwani Dhawan's first SliderBar has been alive in Palo Alto since 2010, but he's really classing things up for the San Francisco debut. There are new options on his slider menu (see below), wine and craft beers on-tap, Straus milkshakes, Blue Bottle espresso drinks and even an "Every Day Is Fry Day" happy hour, wherein free Belgian fries are bestowed upon anyone who orders a drink between 3 and 6 p.m. SliderBar opens to the public tonight after a ribbon cutting at 4 p.m. Menu items follow, and you can drop a note with early reports here or below.
