Local purveyor of deep-dish, gooey, Chicago-style pizzas, Patxi's is going to start serving Neapolitan pies. Next Tuesday, the chain's location in Noe Valley will launch a new menu that substitutes authentic-style Italian pies for its usual thin crust pizzas. Not to worry, the beloved heart-attack-in-a-pan Chicago-style pizzas aren't going anywhere. Take a look at the full revamped menu here. Further elaboration on the new thin pies' Neapolitan-ness follows:
"Made with extra fine 'Double Zero' flour and hand pulled to perfection. Crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside, this is a new take on a traditional Italian style pizza crust. 15-20 minute cook time Whole wheat or gluten free dough options available."
In related news, Patxi's is in the process of opening locations in Denver in October and November, and at the beginning of the year in Livermore. The plan is to roll out the Neapolitan pies in a new Patxi's each week. The new menu should be available at all San Francisco locations by October 28th, at which point they'll launch a shiny new website for all to behold.
