According to a tipster, the original "mean nut," Luisa Hanson will soon add another property to the pile of restaurants she's said goodbye to over the years. For the record, said pile includes (but is not limited to): La Vinoteca (now home to Roam), Delaney's Bar (which is now Campus bar), and stillborn Duffy's. Apparently Luisa's and the attached bar Notte are the next business on the way out of Ms. Hanson's slippery hands.

From the tipster: "She has two weeks left as the owner of Luisa's before the new owner takes over...and changes the entire place...he has plans of completely tearing the property down and building a new restaurant and bar that will be a Puerto Rican place...it's not a big secret." It's not a big surprise either, considering the restaurant's history with the DPH and frozen foods, and Luisa's track record in court. Expect something new and different at 1851 Union Street in the next month or so.
