RICHMOND — The Richmond District location of the Vietnamese restaurant Perilla (5423 Geary) is going to turn into a Cajun crawfish spot this weekend, but the other locations will remain the same. THE SHUTTER — Career Education Corp. is shutting down some of its California-based schools, which includes the California Culinary Academy. No word yet if this is one of the targeted institutions, but its fate should be known within the next month. [SFGate]

Order a freshly baked gingerbread star ($10) complete with frosting, sprinkles, and other candies to decorate however you like at The Tavern at Lark Creek, One Market Restaurant, LarkCreekSteak, Cupola Pizzeria, Lark Creek Walnut Creek, Yankee Pier, Lark Creek Blue, and Fish Story and proceeds benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
