Bocce Court CONFIRMED At Stock In Trade

So far, we know the R Bar guys' new Stock in Trade will have a huge bar, gender-themed bathrooms and 'super carny funnel cake.' Today co-owner Tod Alsman calls to confirm that Stock in Trade will be the first restaurant in San Francisco to have a bocce court in the dining room, as well. At roughly 6 x 36 feet, it will be about half the size of your average 'legit' court, made from easy-to-maintain artificial turf and repurposed wrought iron from the La Barca days. There will be several tables bordering the court in the back part of the dining room, and a few extra sky lights added overhead to let the light shine in.

It should also be noted that the huge U-shaped bar is going to have room for 40 seats ( as opposed to the previously teased 25). There will be eight wines on tap and one of the few wine bottle lists with several options under $25. "I want people to be able to come in and get a bottle of wine and some burgers at the bar for a great price," adds Alsman. They'll also have some communal tables with the live edges flipped inward so they runs down the middle "like a fault line."

Judging from the way things are going with the health department, paper work, and the furniture shipments, team Stock in Trade is now looking to open some time in January.
