On Friday, Claude Lane heavyweight Gitane will forge off into a noticeably different direction. The tajines and flatbreads of yesteryear were scrapped from the menu a few weeks ago, and chef Bridget Batson has ramped up with her new partner in crime: husband Patrick Kelly who joins her via Napa's Angele. The pair will unleash a new $65 tasting menu, reflecting "the wanderings of the gypsy" around the regions of Spain (starting with Valencia). Meanwhile, a new sharable "compartir" menu will be served in the patio and bar areas; as an Andalusia-inspired a la carte menu is served everywhere else. The cocktail list has also been shortened, making way for eight draft beers in an effort to transform the bar into more of a "place to eat." All three new menus follow.
