THE SHUTTER - Via tipster: the six-month-old French-owned Le Bordeaux has a "For Lease" sign in the window: "It was barely open for 6 months, and during that time, hardly held to its posted hours. You burn your fans that walked all the way to give you their money when you aren't even open for dinner on popular nights. It's too bad, a French place in NB would have been nice." [EaterWire]

THE MISSION - In its most un-biker-hipster stunt yet, Zeitgeist has joined the Twitters. It's probably not because of all the fancy new beer garden competition out there these days though. [Uptown Almanac]

THE MISSION EXTRA - Today comes news of a possible fate for the long-defunt New Mission Theater in the Mission. Austin, Texas-based Alamo Drafthouse is angling to put a five-screen movie theater and "dining establishment" in there. SF Biz Times has the details on the project, which is going before the Historic Preservation Commission on Feb. 15. [SFBT]

FOIE GRAS WIRE - Russel Jackson of Lafitte will be doing a five-course foie gras tasting dinner at his chef's counter once a month until the ban begins in July. Things like foie gras dumplings, foie risotto and foie donuts have already been teased. Upcoming dates are this Sunday, March 15th, April 29th, May 17th, June 17th, and July 11th. Reserve by calling the restaurant. [EaterWire]
