THE MISSION - Wise Sons Deli opened unexpectedly this morning at 9 a.m. and will stay "softly open" through the long weekend. Here's the opening menu with a solid selection of Jewish-style sandwiches, weekday breakfast, and weekend brunch options like corned beef hash and the L.E.O. bialy with lox and caramelized onions. Remember, every last thing is made in house here, and Inside Scoop has the rundown on the challah, bialys, bagels and when they're available. Take note that hours will be 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on President's Day. [EaterWire, ISSF]

BERNAL HEIGHTS - After almost six months in Shutterville, Jasmine Tea House reopened on Mission St., serving the same menu under different ownership. Bill Clinton used to love this place, but the POTUS of the moment did not get the memo. [Bernalwood]

OAKLAND - According to The Hopper, Telegraph (2318 Telegraph Ave.) has opened in the old Mama Buzz, bringing bagels, Pepples donuts, outside-the-box sausages and "a biergarten vibe" to the neighborhood. [Tablehopper]

OAKLAND EXTRA - Dial 451-COMA to reach Uptown's newest crepe and bánh mì slinging cafe: Food Coma.

BERKELEY - EBX says Freehouse (2700 Bancroft Way) is now open in the former Adagia space with meaty food and an extensive supply of beers to choose from. Take a look at the website. [EBX]
