FILLMORE - Tablehopper brings the good news that State Bird Provisions is now open for dinner on Tuesdays, and they'll start serving brunch on Sunday March 11. [Tablehopper]

HAPPY HOUR - Lower Pac Heights' newish Roostertail Rotisserie has started offering a happy hour, Monday through Saturday from 3 to 5 p.m. Beer and wine are always a dollar off, and the food specials will change weekly. This week, for example, chicken wings in Roostertail's signature green sauce are 7 for $5 or 13 for $10. [EaterWire]

THE MISSION - Mission Venezuelan food stop, Pica Pica (401 Valencia St.) is going to start doing beer nights this year, and the first one is coming up this week with Napa Smith Brewery's master brewer Don Barkley releasing a very limited production Grateful Dog beer. The brew blends in late harvest Semillon grapes and a barrel-aged imperial porter. It'll be going for $6 a glass from 6 to 8 p.m. this Thursday. [Eaterwire]

FOOD TRUCKS - Scott Wiener is not going to take this food truck fight sitting down. In response to a recent state ordinance that would prohibit trucks within 1500 feet of any school—whcih basically excludes all of San Francisco—Wiener has proposed new legislation that would reduce the distance to 500 feet, or about one city block. BERKELEY - The only bbq restaurant we've seen close in quite some time, Ironwood BBQ is about to be replaced by Suya African-Caribbean Grill (2130 Oxford St). Berkeleyside has more. [Berkeleyside]
