THE MISSION - Here is a view from Mission Pie's roof, where solar panels were just installed to supply up to a third of the cafe's power. The owners did this in an effort to operate more greenly, although they do hope to save enough on their PG&E bill to eventually absorb the cost of installation. [SFoodie, EaterWire]
SAISON WIRE - Last year Josh Skenes whittled the Saison dining room down to 18 seats, and today he announced via a rep at the new, SF-based SeatMe that Saison will move its entire reservation system over to their pre-paid ticketing system beginning on April 10. Tickets include either the 16 course or 20-22 course tasting menu, optional wine pairings, service, and tax, and are not refundable, although they are transferrable. [EaterWire]
CUPCAKE ATMS - Sprinkles the LA-based cupcake chain that has teased San Francisco with dessert trucks in the past, is taking this cupcake thing one step too far: They're launching a 24-hour cupcake ATM machine dispensing cupcakes, cake mix, and apparel. It's only a matter of time before this devil contraption moves up the coast. [~ELA~]
780 VALENCIA - The Summit's replacement cafe 780 is officially open now and the owner is paying that enormous rent, bless his heart. [Twitter, EaterWire]
