780 Café Takes The Summit, Taste of the Nation Nears

SWITCHEROOS - Contrary to what the sign (pictured) in The Summit's late window would lead one to believe, a new branch of Blue Bottle is not opening at 780 Valencia. Mission Loc@l reports that the owners will run something called 780 Café in the space for a while, and Blue Bottle wholesale director Luisa Alberto says this is probably just an interim solution as they look for a new tenant. RAMEN WIRE - Over at Nombe, new chef Noriyuki Sugie's beef ramen options are now available at dinner in addition to lunch. A bunch of additional menu items from Sugie will also be in the dinner rotation right after Valentine's Day. [EaterWire]

COMING ATTRACTIONS - Taste of the Nation time is just around the corner on March 29th. Just like last year, the Bentley Reserve will be filling up with many of San Francisco's great chefs and alcohol providers. They aren't teasing any participants yet, but that doesn't mean you can't buy tickets! [EaterWire]

SUPER BOWL - The Mission's Andalu is offering all-you-can-eat-and-drink beer and sangria from 3:30 p.m. onwards on Sunday for Super Bowl watchers. You do need to purchase dinner to get the deal. but they've got things you'll probably want to eat like sliders, ribs, chips and guacamole and mac and cheese. [EaterWire]
