THE MISSION - Ken Ken Ramen is being all coy with the Twitters, announcing they'll be adding "Some things from Brasil" to the menu soon. [Twitter]

CHEF SHUFFLES - Celebrated long-gone sushi chef from Kabuto A&S, Sachio Kojimo has come back onto the San Francisco scene. Joseph Manzare has hired him as the new sushi chef at Hecho and his new menu has just become available this week. Do let us know if you happen to try it. [ISSF]

BERNAL HEIGHTS - Charlie of Charlie’s Cafe has purchased the former Park Bench Cafe space, and he's holding a community meeting to see what the neighborhood wants there. Bernalwood notes that a pet supply shop with a bar would probably please everyone. [Bernalwood]

CRIME - Chron passes on the news (and the creeper mug shot) of Mark Anderson, a "bon vivant" and former Sausalito civic commissioner who was basically sentenced to life in prison for burning down a Vallejo wine warehouse. It's estimated about $250 million worth of juice was cooked in the blaze, which happened six years ago. [Chron]

QUOTE OF THE DAY - "I like the things themselves, but I’m generally annoyed by people who use these buzz words too much."—Gabrielle Hamilton, on buzz words like "organic" and "artisanal." [7x7]
