Check Out Asian Box, Opening Tomorrow in Palo Alto

Tomorrow Palo Alto will get its first fast-casual, gluten-free Asian street food concept: Asian Box. The kitchen is run by former Charles Phan protege Grace Nguyen and her husband Chad Newton, who've designed this menu
of several proteins, vegetables, toppings (like caramel eggs and fresh jalapenos) and sauces—including, but not limited to the patented HotBoxIt sauce made from Asian peppers, peppercorns and chili oil. Each customer creates his own "box" by choosing from the above. CEO Frank Klein smartly started things out in Palo Alto because that's where the venture capital interest was. This year, two additional locations are planned for San Francisco the Bay Area. This particular outpost, situated in Palo Alto’s Town & Country Village, gets unleashed tomorrow at 5 p.m. with a stand up communal table inside and 25 seats outdoors. Thereafter hours shall be from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. Website here.
