Exciting developments abound at the defunct Red Vic Movie House (1727 Haight). Owners Betsy and Jack Rix hosted a community meeting in the Upper Haight last night and revealed the space will be converted into an events center with screening room and a food marketplace with five vendors. Confirmed tenants are a bakery/coffee shop called PicnicFare and indie food broker Buyer's Best Friend. The lobby will be bestowed upon neighboring Alembic to air the crowded bar out a bit. Estimated launch is late 2012. [Uppercasing]
