Food & Wine magazine decided on its Best New Pastry Chefs of 2012 last month, and now it is time to shift all the attention to savory food chefs. The nominees for the 2012 People's Best New Chef were announced this morning. There are ten nominees from California, and most of them are from San Francisco.
A press release notes that "nominees for The People’s Best New Chef award remain eligible for a Best New Chef award," meaning the popular choice award winner can still be considered for the editor's choice award later this year. Take a look at all the local love after the hop, or check out the full list of nominees from across the U.S. over at Eater National.
