Humphry Slocombe Ice Cream Book hasn't even hit the shelves yet, but co-writer and ice cream mad scientist Jake Godby is already getting his hands into something else. Truck Stop Cafe will pop-up Monday at Truck on Folsom, serving a menu that just went live on the Twitters. This will be the first public tasting of dishes like duck fat Chex mix and brisket grilled cheese from the man usually making Secret Breakfast ice cream and not chocolate, ever. Naturally, dessert will be served. Godby tells NBC that service begins at 6 p.m. and runs until "whenever we run out of food (or we give up)." Also: "This might be the only time Truck Stop Cafe happens, or it could be the beginning of something. Wait and see."
