Lucy, Bardessono's New Garden-Centric Restaurant

Please meet Lucy, the totally revamped restaurant at Yountville's eco-minded Bardessono hotel and spa. A few months back, the former restaurant was totally gutted, a wall was knocked out, and Seattle/L.A. based SEVA Design was brought in to create a much more modern vibe. See the glass, steel, concrete and gray tones that now enclose the original restaurant's only holdover: an eye-catching live edge communal table.

Since Lucy was born on February 24th, the breakfast, lunch, dinner and an extensive bar menu are now firmly in place from new chef Victor Scargle. Herbs and fruits grown in the on-site garden feature prominently, especially in the restaurant's abundant salad options. The "Range" section of the menu also includes two rare appearances: Iberico fresco pork and antelope from southern Texas. Multi-course dinners at a communal table in the garden will be coming this summer. In the meantime, recall Bauer gave Scargle's food a staggering 3.5 stars at Julia's Kitchen and the Press Dem already gave Lucy this very nice write-up, so Bauer's Chron review definitely isn't far off.
