Japantown's California-Asian restaurant Bushi-tei will be closing up its restaurant and its amazing bathroom for good at the end of the month. Over the weekend, owner Takumi Matsuba wrote a note to share the news of closure with his loyal patrons, although he hasn't revealed who the next taker is. In its heyday, the restaurant enjoyed a star from Michelin and a glowing threesome from Bauer. In more recent news, it went on the market and lost a chef in February. Matsuba's heartfelt note follows.

Dear beloved patrons,
Thank you very much for you past loyalty and patronage, we have enjoyed serving all of you over the past years. I wanted to take this opportunity to inform you that we have sold the restaurant and will be closing at the end of April. There are countless fond memories we have collected serving you during this time. We could not have made it this far with out your love and support, please keep in touch.

Sincerely,
Takumi Matsuba
