NEW HOURS — To the chagrin of hungry newspaper editors, Prather Ranch (1 Ferry Bldg.) no longer serves weekday breakfast. Though open at 10 AM, it is focusing efforts on lunch. Meanwhile, Roostertail (1963 Sutter) is now open for your Sunday rotisserie chicken consumption. [SFoodie/EaterWire]

FOODLANTHROPY —
A staggering $1.9 million was raised for Meals On Wheels by the Star Chefs & Vintners Gala on April 22, a record in the 25-year history of the event. The donation is going to translate into approximately 475,000 meals for homebound seniors. [EaterWire]

THE EMBARCADERO — Tacolicious is crafting a Cinco De Mayo throwdown slash benefit for CUESA and La Cocina at the CUESA Kitchen (1 Ferry Bldg.) on, obviously, May 5. Expect tequila cocktails, antojitos from a slew of food purveyors (including Nopalito, Don Bugito, and Chaac Mool), and made to order tortillas at the second annual Hecho en San Francisco. Tickets are $55; find 'em this way. [EaterWire]

WINE COUNTRY — Copain Wines of Healdsburg will host five-time James Beard finalist for Best Chef-Southwest, Sharon Hage of York Street, for an intimate supper club on April 28. Hage, who's also a recent nominee of Eater Dallas' Hottest Chef, will offer an under-wraps menu with wine pairings for $229. The winery will host similar dinners this season with Benu's Corey Lee and Momofuku kingpin David Chang. Call (707) 836-8822 for required reservations. [EaterWire]
