Sadly, Michael Bauer was out sick on Wednesday, so he did not get to eat the free deep dish sausage pie from Patxi's sent to him at the Chronicle offices by Eater. One of the lovely ladies in the slideshow above got to eat the pie instead. In fact, many of the recipients of Eater's free pizzas were photographed with the boxes.
