The B. Patisserie pop-up run by ex-Manresa pastry chef and macaron whiz Belinda Leong has finally signed a lease on an actual permanent address. The 1500-square-foot future patisserie and cafe will go into the former Crepe'n Coffee at 2821 California Street. Michel Suas, owner of Thorough Bread Bakery and the San Francisco Baking Institute, is her partner in the project. Both Suas and Leong are widely appreciated masters in French pastry, so bank on a myriad of macarons, buche, and pastries, including the cult favorite croissant-on-crack a.k.a. kouign-amann to be offered. Leong says there will also be savory sandwiches. Look for B. to open before 2013.
