Gioia co-owner Karen Gioia calls to say they're ready to unveil weekend brunch service on the good people of Upper Polk Street and its surrounding environs. Options range from a colorful-sounding breakfast pizza ($18), topped with Neuske bacon, fontina, eggs, and cherry tomatoes to "old school" flapjacks ($12) topped with strawberries and Vermont maple syrup. Blue Bottle French press, mimosas, bellinis made with strawberry puree, and Lillet's new rose wine, will also assemble for the occasion. Hours are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday and Sunday and you can check out the whole dang brunch menu below.
