Barbacoa Opens in Orinda, The Melt Plots Berkeley Spot

NOW OPEN — Mexican restaurant Barbacoa (2 Theater Square) opened June 5 in Orinda. Chef Jason Moniz is hoping it'll put the city on the Bay Area dining map. [Diablo]

NORTH BAY — The team behind Manka's lodge in Inverness has taken over the shuttered Olema Inn (10000 Sir Francis Drake) in Olema. There will be a remodel and name change, with a hopeful opening date of August. [ISSF]

EGG-IN-A-HOLE WIRE — All San Francisco locations of The Melt are now offering breakfast items such as an egg-in-a-hole melt or kettle cooked oatmeal with a cup of Peet's Coffee for under $6. There's also a Berkeley location in the works for the summer. [EaterWire]
