Asian Box Plans Two New Locations, More

EXPANSIONWIRE — After opening its first location in Palo Alto in March, Asian Box has plans for two more Bay Area outposts. Look for a Mountain View debut in the fall (142 Castro), followed by a new Burlingame eatery in 2013 (305 Primrose Road). [EaterWire]

MARINA — The bar-centric American tavern going into the former La Barca is called Stock in Trade and is expected to open in the fall. Jake Kwan-Rosenbush (whose previous credits include Gary Danko, Naked Lunch, and 15 Romolo) will head up the kitchen. [ISSF]

COMING ATTRACTIONS — A16 (2355 Chestnut) hosts the Dry Creek Peach and Produce installment of its Sunday Farm Supper Series on July 29. The newly appointed executive chef Chris Thompson has created a menu featuring the Healdsburg-based farm's bounty of peaches, Walla Walla onions, and herbs. [EaterWire]

THE EMBARCADERO — Liam Mayclem of CBS5's Eye on the Bay hosts a series of cooking classes to preview the SF Chefs festivities, including lamb and beer pairings with Tom Pizzica of Food Network and Ian Marks of Beast and Hare (7/14), desserts with Francis Ang of Fifth Floor and Luis Villavelazquez of Les Elements (7/21), and pickling with Dennis Lee of Namu Gaji and Leo Beckerman of Wise Sons Deli (7/28).
