FIDI — After sneaking in to the former Basil Leaf Cafe in the spring, a new restaurant called Machka (584 Washington) has set an opening date of July 16. The food is described as "Turkish cuisine with Mediterranean influences" and locally sourced ingredients. Jocelyn Bulow is consulting on the menu, as he's done for Papito, Baraka, Plouf, Chez Maman, and Chez Papa Bistrot. [EaterWire]

OAKLAND — Stag's Lunchette (362 17th Street), a new breakfast and lunch offering from the owner of Bar Dogwood, opens July 9. The menu changes daily, though "seasonal sandwiches" such as housemade pastrami basted in butter and demi-glace with Emmental cheese and ginger kraut or crab cake on brioche with fried pancetta and pickled fennel aleppo aioli are the main focus of the afternoon. THE MISSION — A sign posted in the window of Double Dutch (3192 16th St.) announces an ownership change. It's not yet clear if the name and/or concept will be retained. [Mission Loc@l]

NORTH BEACH — Now that Txoko (504 Broadway) has ceased its weekly foie gras dinners, other organs can get the spotlight for a moment. "An Offal Good Time," a three-course, offal-based prix fixe ($39) happens Wednesdays in July (11, 18, 25). Secure reservations here. [EaterWire]
