Last week Bon Appetit put forth 50 of their favorite new American restaurants that were under consideration for Best New Restaurants 2012—AQ and State Bird Provisions among them. Today, the link goes live with the winners revealing that State Bird Provisions isn't just one of "The Hot 10," but it's been crowned Bon Appetit's Restaurant Of The Year. No doubt, this is a huge deal for owners Stuart Brioza and Nicole Krasinski, who will benefit from the buzz generated here in multiple ways, especially when opening their other spot nearby next year.
Now hop through to Andrew Knowlton's description, which calls the restaurant a "dinner party/dim-sum mashup from heaven," and reveals the space's inception as a fried quail shack focused on Broiza's now-famous fried quail dish.
