Woody Allen 20 Spot Sighting, Coffee and Tea Fest

THE MISSION — Woody Allen was spotted filming today in front of 20 Spot (3565 20th St.), the forthcoming restaurant from Bacchus Wine Bar owner Bodhi Freedom. According to Freedom, construction should begin on the space next month, with a projected opening date of November. [EaterWire]

TEA! COFFEE! — The second annual Berkeley Coffee & Tea Festival takes place from 9 a.m. to 1p.m. on August 18 at Hotel Shattuck Plaza (2086 Allston Way). The event includes copious amounts of caffeine, coffee and tea 101 workshops, and a souvenir mug, with free fair trade coffee given to the first 36 in attendance. Purchase tickets ($25) here. SOMA — Straits (845 Market) hosts a Street Food Fair in the restaurant from August 20-26 in the form of a special menu from chef Chris Yeo.
