PACIFIC HEIGHTS — The lease was signed back in February and now there's an opening date of August 24 for the second location of Roam Artisan Burgers (1923 Fillmore). Download the wine list here to see what to pair with ostrich burgers. [EaterWire]

THE SHUTTER — Palace Hotel restaurant Kyo-Ya (2 New Montgomery) is closing in September. Intriguingly, the space is now available for prospective restaurateurs to take over. [ISSF]

COMING ATTRACTIONS — The 17th Annual Grape to Glass Pre-Harvest Party takes place at 4 p.m. on August 18 at Richard's Grove & Saralee's Vineyard (3575 Slusser Road) in Windsor. The focus is on tasting Russian River Valley wines, including many that have yet to be released to the public. Tickets ($85) are available right this way. [EaterWire]

EAST BAY — Oakland's District (827 Washington), a wine and whiskey bar that opened in April, now has outdoor patio seating. Weather permitting, it could be a nice place to partake of dollar oysters at happy hour (4-6 p.m. on weekdays and 5-7 p.m. on Saturdays). [EaterWire]
