The Ice Cream Bar, Now Serving Sandwiches, Boozy Floats

Since The Ice Cream Bar opened in January of this year, the Cole Valley soda fountain and ice cream parlor has enjoyed a very nice run in the press. The weak link has always been its lack of a strong savory food element, beer and wine to round the business out. All of that changes this Friday, when owner Juliet Pries plans to release her new list of sandwiches and boozy floats, devised with the help of former A16 pastry chef Lori Rich. The food items fall affordably in the $5.50 to $9.50 range, and the beer- and champagne-spiked "remedies" created by Russell Davis will be priced between $9 and $14. It's not a long list of options, but it is enough to considerably tweak the role of The Ice Cream Bar in the neighborhood, making it more of a place for adults. Take a look at the full menu below.

LUNCH COUNTER
Sandwiches are served on sliced, grilled house-baked brioche or whole wheat, with a house-made pickle and your choice of roasted seasonal organic vegetable salad or sweet potato chips.
