COMING ATTRACTIONS — LA chef Susan Feniger will cook recipes from her new book STREET Food: Irresistibly Crispy, Creamy, Crunchy, Spicy, Sticky, Sweet Recipes at 6:30 p.m. on September 20 at San Anselmo restaurant Insalata's (120 Sir Francis Drake). SOUTH PARK — Last Monday at a cooking class at the American Grilled Cheese Kitchen (1 South Park), Cooking With Amy's Amy Sherman won a sandwich contest. She has landed an original creation on the menu of the restaurant, which is currently celebrating winning a $250K small business grant. Amy's Southwestern Grilled Cheese ($9) has chipotle butter, Tillamook Jack and sharp cheddar cheeses, fresh jalapenos and New Mexico Hatch chilis, roasted tomatoes, sweet white corn, and black beans seasoned with garlic, cumin, and bay leaves on Artisan Bakers sourdough, with 20% of the proceeds going to La Cocina.
