Today is a sweet day for the strange intersection of Geary and Masonic, which celebrates the grand opening of The Corner Store, after a week of (not-so-)soft-opening madness. Take a look at the monster overhaul of the former Hukilau space above. The Corner Store brings a 40-seat heated patio area, a modern soda fountain and cocktail program with housemade syrups, and a slightly retro menu of affordably priced fare to the neighborhood. Partners Ezra Berman, GM Miles Palliser, barman Hans Hinrichs and former Salt House chef Nick Adams are mostly local natives, who've poured their blood, sweat and (probably) tears into the hand-built decor and a menu that may or may not include one of the best burgers in the city. Check out all of the menus and hours of operation on their freshly live website, and have a look around in the gallery above. As always, drop those early reports below in the comments or shoot them over the EaterWire.
