Here's A Great Shot Of Traci Des Jardins With Julia Child

Julia Child is the most famous food TV personality of time, known for introducing America to French cuisine. Her 100th birthday would have been this year on August 15th. In honor of all that, here is a picture of Traci Des Jardins' glory moment with Madame Child back in the day. It was a long time ago, but Traci thinks the picture was taken on Julia’s birthday, either her 80th or 90th. Any guesses? [Update: Des Jardins' PR writes to say the picture was probably taken in 1992 for Julia's 80th. It's a keeper.]

Jardiniere, RN74, and La Scene are the San Francisco restaurants lined up to celebrate Julia Child Restaurant Week, which goes through the end of next week, and Oakland's Camino (3917 Grand Avenue) just passed on word that they'll be offering a special four-course menu prepared in the fireplace on August 15th as well. The full prix fixe menu to be offered on Monday night at Jardiniere follows. Where will you celebrate?
