Today Bon Appetit dandy traveling writer Andrew Knowlton releases a list of 50 restaurants across America that could possibly make it to their first annual "Hot 10" list. The two SF contenders are eight-month-old AQ and the younger State Bird Provisions, which serves fried quail. This isn't a voting thing, so everyone should just cross those fingers until August 14 when the 10 survivors and Bon App's top new restaurant in America are revealed. [Bon App]
