Top Chef: Just Desserts season one victor Yigit Pura's first foray into retail pastry sales commences today with the opening of Tout Sweet Patisserie. Nestled into the third floor of Macy's flagship in Union Square, the cafe is outfitted in bright white with Charms candy-colored accents. Naturally, the major focal point of the shop is Pura's pastry case, filled with Nutella-stuffed sugar buns, croissants, pate de fruit, fresh-baked apricot scones and so much more. Dessert options abound, including layered panna cotta verrines, a host of macaron flavors (named for important people in Pura's life), cube cakes, cookies, tarts, and a Lady Gaga-inspired take on pate a choux, called Monster Paws.
For breakfast, choose from a ham and cheese "Pop Tart," a breakfast sandwich made with a 62 degree egg, or a Straus farm parfait with granola and berries. A lunch menu of sandwiches and salads is expected to arrive in October. Here's the full opening menu. Sauces and other sweet pantry items are available for purchase as well.
