1) The Mission: After an embarassing shutter due to—ahem—health infringements, The Rite Spot is staging its comeback for Tuesday, September 18th. They've got live shows lined up every night of the month, a new menu, and this fancy website. Rejoice. [EaterWire]
2) Castro: Ashwani Dhawan's San Francisco edition of SliderBarCafe is getting ready to open up on September 28. This location is expected to be more modern, with updated versions of the three-bite sliders like the "Fatty Patty" with Kobe beef, little gems and tomato on an artisan white bun. [EaterWire]
3) SoMa: Jess Voss' Jamber wine pub is looking to soft-open at the end of next week, with a grand opening to follow on September 28th. On the menu are a wide selection of pot pies, sandwiches and smaller "Munchies" like deep fried pickles and a soft pretzel. [EaterWire]
4) SoMa Extra: The Baan Thai Whiskey & Lounge concept moving into the former Spire space in SoMa, will have a "low key" bar and lounge upstairs called Alchemist. Both should be open in two weeks or so. [EaterWire, ISSF]
5) Noe Valley: A tipster noted a large espresso machine and new lighting going into the future Cal-Med Company in Noe Valley. At right, a picture snapped through a crack in the window paper. [EaterWire]
6) Polk Gulch: Cow Hollow's Blue Fog Market is looking to open a second branch on the corner of Polk and Sacramento, in the former Nob Hill Beverages, before the end of the year. [GrubStreet]
7) Oakland: Borgo Italia, the trattoria going into the shuttered B Restaurant, will open September 18th, featuring regional Italian cuisine prepared by a Tuscan native. [ISSF]
