Jesse Hirsch explores Loló (3230 22nd Street), a Latin small plates restaurant in the Mission that he deems great for out-of-town guests. The restaurant captures "San Francisco's insistent playful spirit," he never walks away hungry, and of the beef tongue sliders: "I've never tried a better tongue preparation." In summary Hirsch has had more transcendent meals, but: "Loló nails a sweet balance between haute and approachable, between fine and fun." [Examiner]
