WEST PORTAL — Cafe For All Seasons (150 West Portal) has more than the Health Department and a nasty cockroach problem to deal with now. Apparently, they've been evicted, and it's all in black and white. [ISSF]
NORTH BEACH — A liquor license application has been filed for Capo (641 Vallejo), the forthcoming pizza place from Tony Gemignani (Tony's Pizza). The application is under the name Capo's Chicago LLC, which would substantiate rumors that Chicago-style pizza will be served when it finally opens. [Grub Street]
FOOD TRUCKS — On September 21, Bacon Bacon will be filmed for the "start small think big" segment of a new CNN series called How We Got Started. The public is invited to watch and purchase bacon notions from 8-10:30 a.m. at the storefront (205 Frederick) and then from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Truck Stop (Mission between First and Fremont Streets). THE BRUNCH BUNCH — West of Pecos (550 Valencia) now serves brunch from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays featuring mezcal punch, "brunch margs," the tortilla-wrapped green chile burger and several egg-centric dishes (check out the menu here). The restaurant also has a new happy hour with two for $2 tacos and $3 beers from 5-6:30 p.m. weekdays. [EaterWire]
