A Kickstarter initiative has just launched for Oakland's Township (1545 Broadway), the "uber-local" restaurant from urban farmer Abeni Massey of City Girl Farms that's due in April 2013. The pledge page features a video that captures the massive size of the 100-year-old warehouse that's being built into the restaurant as well as the immediacy of how fresh the food will be. There are choice incentives for donating, including lunch for two and home installation of a City Girl Farms planter box with seed starts. [EaterWire]
