Sadie's Flies Again, Gott's Roadside Grows

SWITCHEROOS — The Unresolved Love Life of Evelyn Lee, the strangely-named bar that opened last year from the team behind Dirty Thieves and Dear Mom, appears to have time warped back to the previous owners' name, Sadie's Flying Elephant (491 Potrero). It is unclear at this point whether the bar has actually changed hands again or whether this is a permanent move. [Uptown Almanac]

EXPANSIONS — Palo Alto is getting a Gott's Roadside (855 El Camino Real), the fourth location of the restaurant. It probably will not be open until June of next year. [ISSF]

SPOONGATE — With the mailing of a small Gray Kunz spoon as a promotional item to journalists, the new San Francisco Cooking School has caused a minor kerfuffle, or at least has inspired discussion on whether tasting spoons (and the hygienic issues that accompany them) are cool in the kitchen. It's nice to know that double-dipping is verboten at Absinthe (398 Hayes), though. [CHOW]

COMING ATTRACTIONS — The next Brewmaster Dinner at Social Kitchen & Brewery (1326 Ninth Ave.) takes place from 7-9 p.m. on October 9. The four-course meal with pairings of in-house as well as other craft beers doubles as a celebration of Filipino History Month and features dishes such as sisig lettuce cups, pancit bihon salad, and short rib adobo cooked by chef Chris Wong. Purchase tickets ($75) here. [EaterWire]
