More Foie Gras at Txoko, OysterFest at Waterbar

FOIE GRAS WIRE — After launching a free weekly foie giveaway in August once it became illegal to sell in California, Txoko (504 Broadway) has piqued the interest of colleagues in the restaurant industry and expanded the promotion with guest chefs contributing. The first 50 people in the door for dinner tomorrow night (Sept. 5) receive two free foie gras pinxtos (bites) from Txoko chef Ian Begg and Alexander's Steakhouse chef Marc Zimmerman. [EaterWire]

BEERWIRE — Social Kitchen & Brewery (1326 Ninth Ave.) hosts a Brewmaster's Dinner at 7 p.m. on September 11. Chef/kitchen transformer Christopher Wong and brewmaster Kim Sturdavant have planned a four-course menu with beer pairings ($45) featuring fare such as summer brochettes (peach, pork belly, and fig), salmon rillettes, and rosemary roasted spareribs.
