Josh Sens has a 2.5 star review of Joseph Humphrey's Dixie, and he acknowledges the challenges a huge Presidio restaurant faces. The design is mostly "jumbo and generic," and service is "underseasoned," but the menu is impressive. Take the quail: "...perfectly crisped in a bronze batter and set atop a garlic waffle and a nest of spicy cabbage slaw. Like much of the cuisine, it strikes a nimble balance: high West Coast cooking with a Low Country lilt." [San Fran Mag]
