Charles Chocolates Eyes Pre-Holiday Debut

The return of Charles Chocolates (535 Florida) is getting closer at the new Mission District kitchen and cafe/retail space. Now, owner Chuck Siegel shares this rendering of the new shop and a prospective opening time. Demolition of the former Potrero Brewing Co. interior has wrapped and construction is about to begin. Siegel hopes to get the 7600-square foot kitchen cooking by October 1, and the shop open by November 1. Even if seemingly inevitable delays occur, customers will be able to stock up on Charles Chocolates classics like peanut butterflies and edible bon bon boxes and discover new products, including a fresh line of bars and varietal honey ganaches, in time for holiday shopping.
