San Francisco's newest performing arts venue, the SFJAZZ Center, opens next Monday, January 21. Aside from the adjustable 350-700 seat auditorium and the 80-seat ensemble room, (check out the details here) the building will also house a new cafe project led by The Slanted Door's Charles Phan.
Dubbed South at SFJAZZ, the cafe features a New Orleans-inspired menu of hot and cold plates. The cuisine's a bit of a departure for Phan, who usually sticks pretty close to his Asian roots, but we're betting these southern-style bites will go just perfectly with some sweet, swanky jazz.
